Requesting extensions or handling revisions

Last updated on Mar 31, 2026

Sometimes a task may take longer than expected, or the Poster may ask for changes before approving your work.

Takers gives you simple tools to handle both situations.

Requesting more time

If you need extra time:

  1. Open the Take

  2. Tap Request Extension

  3. Choose a new date and time

  4. Send your request

The Poster will review it and either approve or decline.

What happens next

  • If approved
The deadline is updated and you can continue working.

  • If declined
The original deadline still applies, so aim to complete the task on time.

When to request an extension

Request more time if:

  • The task is more complex than expected

  • You need extra time to deliver quality work

  • There are delays outside your control

Try to request early. Don’t wait until the deadline has passed.

Handling revision requests

If the Poster isn’t fully satisfied, they may request a revision instead of approving payment.

When this happens:

  • Review the feedback carefully

  • Fix the issue as quickly as possible

  • Keep communication clear and simple

Payment is only released after the final result is approved.

Communication matters

  • Be honest about delays

  • Keep the Poster updated

  • Ask questions if anything is unclear

Tip
Handling revisions professionally and communicating clearly helps you earn better ratings and more repeat jobs.
